About Us
Helios Skin Cancer Clinic
We aim to provide a comprehensive service to help protect you from skin cancer.
We focus on on prevention, early detection and prompt treatment of melanoma and other cancers of the skin.
Having a thorough skin check should be a comfortable experience for all patients. We perform a head-to-toe check, allowing time for a thorough examination and to answer any questions you may have.
Cancer can be a frightening disease, and often causes significant anxiety. At all times, patients should feel that they have time to ask questions and be heard.
Biopsies are generally done on the same day if required, to expedite diagnosis.
Should treatments be recommended, we will talk through medical and surgical options with you.
Where necessary, we refer externally to Specialist doctors for management.

Dr Jamie Pearce
Jamie is a dedicated skin cancer physician, with several years full time experience. He's performed thousands of skin checks, striving to ensure every check is detailed, with a focus on early detection. He uses a variety of treatment techniques to treat several skin cancers every day.
He was born in London and initially trained in General Practice in the UK, before moving to Australia to take on further training for a career in skin cancer medicine. He now has extensive formal training from the University of Queensland in advanced diagnostics and therapeutics of skin cancer, along with a distinction in a post graduate diploma of dermatology from Queen Mary University of London.
A full skin check and a diagnosis of skin cancer can be daunting, and Jamie strives to ensure patients feel comfortable during checks. Appointments are longer for meticulous examination and to allow time to discuss the rapidly evolving diagnostic and treatment options in skin cancer.
He regularly performs more complex surgical procedures, including facial surgery, skin flaps and grafts when indicated.
